UNDER 12's PLAY FOR POINTS; OFF SIDE INTRODUCED

During the Small Sided Games seminar conducted earlier in the year, there was discussion about under 12’s, and whether they could play competitively. This matter has been considered by the Zone Council, and as Nik Boullus from FFA saw no major reason to deny its implementation in Darwin.  The Council has decided to allow the under 12’s to play in a competition where results will be recorded.

The 12 year age group – will abide by the player age policy; i.e. 12 year olds cannot play in a higher age group unless they are assessed by Daymon Port, and all other current SSG games rules apply.  This age group will play in a competition round which will record win/loss and goals to provide season playoff.

A Grand final series at the end of the season may also be included. The off side rules will be introduced and included, in training and, in the competition games and will be administered by the game referee. Coaches, Trainers and Players will find explanations of the off-side rule in the links on the FFNT website.
